Activities like NCC, serve to inculcate values of leadership, discipline and obedience among the students enrolled. The NCC cadets of the campus unit, attached to the First Gujarat Girls Battalion (Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar), actively participate in the numerous programmes and events organized for them.

The NCC unit regularly participates in parades and rallies organized at the state level. Students obtain training as a part of this programme regularly every Saturday from 12.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. at the sports grounds in Government Arts College, Sector-15, Gandhinagar.
Worth mentioning here is the spectacular performance of the cadets at the Republic Day Parade organized by the Government of Gujarat, where these cadets were awarded the “Best Squad” Trophy for six consecutive years from 1998 to 2003.
Cadets regularly participate in the National Integration Camps (NIC) organized in different parts of India every year. The students win prizes at various competitions held at these camps. Students also participate in Basic Leadership Camps (BLC), whenever and wherever they are organized. Leadership qualities obtained are reflected in their performance in organizing and managing different programmes in the college as well as outside, especially in maintaining discipline and escorting dignitaries during functions, whenever they are organized at the college.
The cadets of  NCC unit actively participate in various competitions  like Trekking, Rock Climbing, Air-Rifle Shooting etc. arranged for them.

Students forming a part of NCC have also answered and successfully cleared their “B” and “C” certificate examinations, during their term of study in the college itself. The results of the NCC unit of the college have always remained 100%. On an average, every year 5 to 6 cadets clear their “C” Certificate Examinations and 20 to 25 cadets clear their “B” Certificate Examinations.
